House of Representative Hopeful for Ibadan North Federal Constituency Ademola Alalade has again expressed deep shock saying he is heartbroken by the tragic and senseless killing of the WAEC candidate in Ibadan which was initiated by the senseless act of his father. This act acording to the intending legislature is not only inhumane but a brutal betrayal of parental responsibility and protection.

Alalade noted that such a heinous crime must not be treated lightly. I strongly urge that the perpetrator be fully prosecuted under the law, and in addition, be subjected to thorough psychiatric evaluation to assess his mental state. No mentally sound individual should be capable of such cruelty, especially towards their own child.

As a people, we must protect our children and not be seen to be violating their human right. He called on the state government under the watch of Governor Seyi Makinde to ensure Justice is swift,and also strengthen our social systems by deploying technology and human capacity to detect and prevent such dangers in our community.

He prayed for the soul of the innocent student to rest in peace saying “May his death not be in vain.”
