House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Ademola Alalade, has strongly condemned the tragic killing of a student sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) in Ibadan, describing the incident as “heartbreaking and utterly unacceptable.”
In a statement released today, Alalade expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a promising young life, calling on security agencies to immediately commence a full and transparent investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“This is not just a crime against one family — it is a crime against the future of our state and nation. No child should ever have to fear for their life while pursuing an education,” Alalade said.
He urged the Oyo State Government and law enforcement authorities to act swiftly, assuring the public that justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done.
“We owe it to the victim, their family, and every student in Ibadan and beyond to ensure that those responsible are apprehended and prosecuted without delay,” he added.
Alalade also called on Governor Seyi Makinde to as a matter of urgecy beef up security protection around examination centers and schools, stressing the need for collaboration between communities and security agencies to prevent further tragedies.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the school community, and all students currently sitting for their WAEC examinations.
