Ademola Alalade, a prominent aspirant for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat, has dismissed the recent coalition efforts by opposition figures aiming to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections as “political theater” lacking substance.
Alalade’s remarks come in the wake of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s announcement of a coalition of opposition parties intending to challenge President Tinubu’s re-election bid. He criticized these efforts as being driven by personal ambitions rather than genuine national interest.

“These so-called political gladiators are engaging in a self-serving spectacle,” Alalade stated. “Their actions are not rooted in a commitment to the nation’s progress but in a desire to reclaim power for their own ends.”
He emphasized that President Tinubu’s administration has been implementing reforms aimed at revitalizing Nigeria’s economy and infrastructure, asserting that these initiatives deserve continuity beyond 2027.
“The President’s policies are beginning to yield positive results,” Alalade noted. “Disrupting this momentum with politically motivated schemes would be detrimental to our country’s development.”
Alalade called on Nigerians to remain vigilant and discerning, urging them to support leaders committed to genuine progress rather than those engaging in political theatrics.
“Our focus should be on building a resilient nation,” he concluded. “Let’s not be swayed by distractions but instead rally behind leadership that prioritizes the well-being of all Nigerians.
